Dr. Denis Mukwege speaks at USC
Nobel Prize Nominee Dr. Denis Mukewege visted USC on October 7, 2013, and shared his experience as a tireless advocate for women's rights in his native Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Dr. Mukwege is founder and medical director of the Panzi Hospital, a hospital renowned worldwide for its innovative treatment of survivors of sexual violence and women who have suffered extreme injuries during the ongoing conflict.
Dr. Mukwege spoke about the the strength and suffering of his fellow citizens who are threatened daily by the mass atrocities and violence.
