Join the Cecil Murray Center for Community Engagement and Emergency Network Los Angeles, for a free interactive workshop for nonprofit organizations and learn how to create and implement a disaster plan that really works should a disaster occur. The training is aimed at nonprofit leaders, volunteers and staff who would be involved in writing the disaster plan and providing training for preparedness activities to their members.

Emergency Network Los Angeles is a is a network of, nonprofit, community based groups in Los Angeles that provides assistance to individuals, families, and organizations following emergencies and disasters. Its mission is to to improve the capacity of community organizations to respond and recover from disasters in Los Angeles County.

The workshop is limited to 30 attendees, no more than two representatives per agency. It will be held on Saturday, 9/21/2012 at the Cecil Murray Center at 509 W. 29th Street, Los Angeles CA 90089.
