Workshop on Trauma and Middle Schoolers
The Cecil Murray Center for Community Engagement hosts a workshop for faith leaders and educators learning to deal with trauma and its impact on middle school-age children.
The event features Talia Levanon, executive director of the Israel Trauma Coalition, who has provided training and assistance in Chechnya, Haiti, India, Japan, and the United States. Rev. Everett Bell Jr., associate minister of Mt. Olive Second Baptist and consultant to Silver Lining of Hope Crusade, is a second featured speaker. This program is co-sponsored by the Community Engagement Initiative of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.
