On Friday, May 6, 2011, the Brehm Center at Fuller Theological Seminary presentedLiving Images: the Visual Culture of Islam and Buddhism in Los Angeles. The symposium included a paper by William Dyrness, professor of theology and culture at Fuller Theological Seminary, and CRCC senior fellow.

Dyrness leads a research project that uses ethnographic research to study the imagery, practices, and sacred spaces of selected Buddhist and Muslim communities in Los Angeles. The project is funded by the Luce Foundation.
