The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation’s 2018-2022 strategy for the Catholic Sisters Initiative supports Catholic sisters to become recognized as global leaders in sustainable human development.
The USC Center for Religion and Civic Culture serves as the Measurement, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) partner for the Catholic Sisters Initiative. In this role, CRCC analyzes data obtained from grantees and other sources to determine if the Initiative’s interventions are on track to accomplish its stated goals. CRCC created a Grantee Portal, with resources to help grantees of the Catholic Sisters Initiative create and execute Monitoring and Evaluation plans.
In order to create a Monitoring and Evaluation plan that feeds into the Catholic Sisters Initiative’s goals, grantees should become familiar with the 2018-2022 strategy, as well as the key indicators of progress (ADD LINK).

Hilton’s will specified that he wished to “give aid to… the Sisters, who devote their love and life’s work for the good of mankind, for they appeal especially to me as deserving help from the Foundation… It is my wish… to have the largest part of your benefactions dedicated to the Sisters in all parts of the world.”
