Rebecca Sager is currently a professor of sociology at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Her first book Faith, Politics and Power (Oxford 2010), examines the role of conservative evangelical movements in state implementation of faith-based initiatives. Rebecca is currently working on several research projects she began as a research fellow at Princeton’s Center for the Study of Religion last year including a new project looking at the role of progressive religious movement politics within the Democratic Party and state implementation of church/state policies. Before moving to Los Angeles, Rebecca worked as the American Sociological Association’s Congressional Fellow in Washington, D.C.
