Catholic schools educate more than 19 million children across Africa, and many of these schools are run by women religious. In this video, Holy Cross Sister Prisca Muthoni describes her school in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the challenges she faces in running it and the skills she acquired from the Sisters Leadership Development Initiative (SLDI).
In order to educate the next generation as effectively as possible, Catholic sisters must have the necessary certificates and training. Through SLDI and other programs, the African Sisters Education Collaborative helps Catholic sisters undertake essential ministries with the proper credentials, knowledge and skills.
